Yawa Aquatic Centre is an exemplary facility providing safe year-round swimming and offering a mix of wet and dry activities regardless of age, gender, culture or ability. Coastal resort themed, this standout facility is inviting and welcoming and contributes significantly to improved outcomes in community health, wellbeing and social inclusion.

The recently completed Yawa Aquatic Centre in Rosebud is a major addition for the Mornington Peninsula and its residents.

The YAWA name was derives from the local indigenous word for “Swim”. YAWA recently won Parks and Leisure Australia Vic/Tas Region prestigious award for Community Facility of the Year in 2022.

Collaborating with BRT Consulting Engineers and Peddle Thorp Melbourne, Lighting & Electrical Distributors provided key lighting elements for numerous external and internal lighting applications.

Special consideration was taken with the lighting of the Pool and Gymnasium in particular, ensuring we supply a compliant solution as per the requirements set out in the AS 2560 lighting standards.
